People who don't read books
will rarely write books, no
matter how many audio
readings they might listen to.
You might tell of the blind or
the paralyzed whose books
you have read, yet they are
few and lived in a world
of written books, aspiring
to be between covers,
a voice read, not only
repeated by a tongue
in different mouth.
2
Books, books are
the spine of civilizations
and cultures, the blood
coursing in their veins,
the glue that binds
the leafs of years
and ages together
and makes a narrative
out of them, a connecting
story that makes from separate
people a diverse unity.
