The dawn a protracted
unveiling of the landscape
from the autumn night,
beyond the fields
running from black
to darkest green
in the horizon the pale gold
of the sun long
still hidden,
above, the zones of
different hues of blue
being repainted
as the gaze
rests on them
discarding nocturnal thoughts.
