Noticed each device
had ran out of power,
the mobile phone
not been plugged properly
into the charger,
when I intended to take a walk
recording a short video,
taking photographs,
as the landscape beckoned,
the humid mid-day air
on the edge of rain,
heavy mist on the distant,
silent ridge
looming like regrets
of mistakes made
turning into absenses.
