THE CROWN OF THE ANDES

 Beautiful crown

for a statue,

the age-old ritual

of crowning

a goddess,

with

riches the hands

of slaves

wrought from

the mountains,

each gram of

gold, each

gemstone,

paid for with a

human sacrifice.
