CHAIN OF DAYS

This sunless day,

one in a chain

of days like this

stitched through my life,

evokes all those

before, those days

when you lived,

when the world

was complete,

not this shattered

bowl glued back

together with pieces

missing, missing

but on those days

in this endless autumn

throughout the years.
