KICKING THE CAN DOWN THE STREET

'Kicking the can down the street'

is how the United States' diplomats

describe their government's policy

in occupied Palestine and Israel,

meaning they are just playing for time,

pushing the issue forward to be picked

up by someone, waiting up the road,

someone great and good who will solve

what they w0n't, and doing so they miss

all the graves now being dug

beside the street.
