It's getting very dark.
If I want
to go
for a walk,
I need
to go,
now.
I gulp down
last of the still
hot coffee,
get up
and head for
the door
as the fire alarm
in the ceiling
chirps
like a bird
reminding
me
it's time
to change
the battery.
