THE GREAT CHAIN OF DEATH

One death contains all the deaths
resulting from it:
Thus the death of Iphigenia
contained the deaths of
Agamemnon, Cassandra, Clytemnestra,
Aegisthus and Aletes.
It was the seed -
and it was the bloody flower
of the deaths of Atreus and Thyestes.
One death is thus the result
of the myriad others leading to it.
A knife once unsheathed
cuts through both flesh and time
- and lives yet unborn.
