Can't lament much
that T. E. Hulme
stood when others
threw themselves
on the ground
when the shell came,
him being a man
of the extreme right.
If only that Austrian
corporal would
have done the same
service to the world
as the English lieutenant did.
But in some wretched
corner of the multiverse
they divided Europe between them.
