The search engines breaking down
in this copper age of the web
think that photographs of William Stafford,
William Styron and Kim Philby
all show the same man -
And who has ever seen them
in the same room?,
a postmodernist amoured
with fabulation machines
and the breaking down
of shared reality
by Fascist billionaires
might quip,
but then,
they would, wouldn't they,
loving the maw of the beast
as it breaks our intellectual bones?
