ON THE THREE HUNDREDTH AND SEVENTEETH DAY OF THE YEAR

Eight hours wasted

in a fading nightmare,

awakening to cough

before slipping in again,

and how many people

met a real nightmare

in these Babylonian

moments? Hundreds

dead and wounded,

and thousands now

face new day with

the burning loss

of loved ones.
