Beastly men and saintly women,
and even the men with haloes
around their consciences
have their animal moments
when they grab the fruit from the tree
and blame the woman
they claim to be but part of themselves.
No wonder women choose the bear
or the alien as in Tiptree,
no wonder in Russ' utopia
a man is a lobotomised home accessory
for the most basic needs.
It would be the best use of him.
