Another morning awakening
from some dream slipping
fast beyond remembering,
yet he knows his muse
was part of it
and should be here
waiting to finish,
in whatever way would please
her, what her presence
had started in the dream,
easing what she had left hard
on both sides of the dividing
line of dream and reality,
line that she has again merged.
