I had shared his crowdfunding campaign
many times, Hani's,
a jovial looking family man's
from Gaza Strip,
but not enough,
for when I did it yesterday
it was far too little, far too late,
as a few hours later I read
Hani was dead,
killed by Israel's occupation forces
the day before in Tal al-Hawa
driving a van carrying supplies
to get little money for his family
he had taken to 'safety' in the south.
And now his children
will have even less.
