AND NOW THE DAWN

Yesterday all wind, rain

and sunshine,

the night a black cascade,

and now the dawn 

dim and silent,

wind and rain

and sunshine

all gone except

as memories

folding into memories

of more distant days,

a blur of sights

and sounds merging.
