While promoting the latest technology fad to kill jobs,
giving hundreds of billions to make people unemployed,
they come up with new punishments for the jobless,
preaching the virtue of work and the sin of not working.
They see no contradiction in this, these heirs
of those who enacted the Poor Laws and workhouses
while seasonal employment was still common;
you must work even when there is no work -
facts have never bothered those who living in plenty
and holding high offices no longer touch the earth
but stride in fiscal aether high above mortal beings.
