Both the flesh and the mind
yearn to have her:
Both are greedy, selfish,
feverish in their lust,
mind no better than the flesh
this night. Weak,
but who wouldn't be,
who wouldn't be?
And who would want to be
strong of will and cool of flesh
when they can dream of her
and having her
every way she wants?
Not I, not my mind
nor my flesh
standing hard.
