It doesn't surprise me at all
that after the wind and rain
of the chill day
comes a calm evening
of mild warmth and some light,
that the press here
doesn't even mention
what is happening
in occupied East Jerusalem.
It doesn't surprise me at all
that the night is
calm and cloudless,
that all is as still as
the conscience of
a journalist.
