Light from the globular cluster Messier 14
for thirty-thousand years traveled
to be captured by our telescopes,
and on some ancient planet there
they are capturing the spark of light
from Earth that was just out of Eden
and Cain washing from his hands
the blood of his Neanderthal, Denisovan,
Floresiensian brothers...
