The male gods came
to mate and rape mortals,
women, girls and boys,
often ravishing in the
guise of animals,
yet the goddesses,
in their lustier moments,
only came forth as
alluring, irresistible
women for mortal men
to enjoy - as long
as it took them to
beget a future hero
befitting some
tragic destiny;
for 'some reason'
no befuddlement over
very different anatomies,
no penetration of birds
or bovines for the
mortal men,
nor a male god
born from a vagina
cast adrift.
