WATCHING EUROPEAN SOUTHERN OBSEVATORY'S VIDEO OF NGC 1316

Like flowers on a dark meadow

the galaxies bloom, brightly,

blue, red-brown and white,

thousands of billions of stars

making a handful of blossoms

for the patient hand of time

to slowly wither.
