LACKING THE SKILLS OF MAGICIANS AND SORCERERS

If he could pull her in

from the photo

he would sink in her

his flesh and hours,

but lacking the skills

of magicians and sorcerors,

he writes her into

his poems,

sinking words

and hours, when he

can't sink his flesh

into hers.
