Sudan's military junta is advancing,
yesterday's Greater Evil now the Lesser Evil
advancing against its own genocidal militia,
the Greater Evil of the Janjaweed it spawned,
and if it wins and the mass graves
of the Second Genocide in Darfur
are revealed, it will just become
the Greater Evil in an another fight,
or the same fight, fought since 1956,
and I think of the Resistance Committees'
members slaughtered defending democracy
by these combatants that now have
torn ten million people from their homes
struggling for the right to oppress,
and wish they could both lose,
and they need to lose, they will lose,
on some fine and bloodstained day,
brought by the unnecessary deaths
of so many innocent and brave
and desperate people still alive,
because the world, the world
doesn't care enough now
and hasn't, for a long time.
