He always awaits with trepidation
for her response
to his paltry sendings
(unequal to her gifts
that ride his dreams
as equestrians)
& on an autumn dawn
reading her kind reply
his heart leaps
it could jump
on the bare branches
unentangling the Moon
caught in its descend.
