WELCOMING LIFE

Each carnal poem

is of life, 

                welcoming

life as it comes rushing

to capture

                  for nature 

some place

devastated and lacking,

barren 

             until its green tide

makes it all wild exuberance

and no one calls it sin

but life restored,

       life redeemed,

and so with carnal

poems 

            restoring,

            redeeming 

for life

these existences.
