Where does the singer go

when the song of life,

long or short,

loudly sang or whispered,

has ended?

Into silence

the singer goes,

in the silence of the night

where fades all light,

that no dawn will have.

There the singer

and the song

in silence merge

with all that came before

and gave them voice.
