ON THE GRAVEYARD

 One more ghastly mistake,

a desecration,

and the blood on the snow

beside the broken glass & cross

being own

is a scant consolation.

This is how they suffered & died,

well-meaning mistakes

breaking lives

like the cross and the glass

on the headstone

shattered.
