RESURRECTION IN AMHERST

 To be a

'member of the Resurrection',

Emily Dickinson tells us,

you have to be laid to rest,

covered with satin,

into a tomb made of alabaster.

Thus the Lord,

we have to assume,

knows his own

from the masses

of the undeserving

dead.
