WHICH IS RARELY ACKNOWLEDGED

How many deaths

do revenge over

one murder

justify?

The lesson of Hamlet

should be that violence

begets violence

and that revenge

devours lives,

mostly innocent

and some guilty,

while leaving

a void

for a Fortinbras,

at the closing scene,

to fill.
