Each day news of children starving
to death in Gaza; each day talk of
'a hostage deal'. Only occupation
soldiers, inhabitants of segregated
Apartheid communities matter,
taken as prisoners of war. Not
the Hares Boys, not Samer Issawi,
wrong ethnicity, wrong religion,
they're victims and occupied, not
oppressors and colonialists.
One hundred, two hundred
killed each day, yet only
'hostages, hostages'. There
are 9000 Palestinian hostages
in Israeli occupation prisons,
5.3 million under military boot.
But they are subhuman, unworthy
- only the fallen lords of Apartheid,
bombed by their own, matter
to the 'West' in its decrepit old age.
