As much as we rejoice of the finding
of a hundred lines from Euripides,
not a single word we read or write
will survive the test of time;
two thousand and four hundred
years are a fleeting moment
for the Earth and the Cosmos,
and as we will be ash and dust,
so will be all the works of Euripides,
so will be all the works of humanity.
Read them while they exist,
read them while we exist.
