SHIPWRECKED IN THE COSMOS
1
This is the life of a sentient being,
despair before the Cosmos
as one grows to understand
that our existence
has no meaning at all.

2
Alone in the cosmic night,
we are like survivors from a wreck
battling for our lives in a cold ocean
in the darkness of the night.
We may yell,
We may yell,
but the shore is nowhere to be seen,
no lights of ships
to be seen in the horizon.
The waves come one after another,
The waves come one after another,
and the cold makes our body numb;
soon we will be dragged down
to black depths below,
and what comes after
the light has gone out
does not bother us anymore.
