To an author complaining of poor children in the streets of Havana, Cuba

Complaining that revolution eradicated illiteracy

and brought great progress in medical care,

but left poverty -

I don't understand these who think that imperfect

result spoils the very attempt;

imperfect revolution is

no reason to oppose revolution,

a reason for a new stage 

or a new revolution altogether.
