People who benefit from an unjust system
find ways to excuse, justify and extoll it
walking over the rotting bodies of innocent
victims murdered in their name.
If they do well, everyone who matters
is doing well, that's their attitude when
skulls still holding hair, dried face of flesh,
are crushed under their military boots,
their fine boots of a corporate lord,
fashionable sneakers, their heavy feets
breaking through ribcages as they
stumble over humanity's cadavers.
