Hugo Chavez(1954-2013)

First of all:

You didn't get everything right,

you made mistakes,

in some things you were wrong.

You were a human being.

But:

You were succesful in much

of what you tried to do,

and most of all,

you tried to better the lot of the poor,

the working class -

give them tools to uplift themselves

from poverty.

You tried,

when so many other politicians

didn't and don't.

For that,

I thank you.

For that,

I praise you.
