You shouldn't have loved a man, Federico,

who didn't even have the guts to renounce your killers

and go to exile. Oh no, Federico, he went

to Soviet Union in a Fascist uniform

to kill people to show his loyalty to Franco.

Instead of standing with you before rifles

and facing eternity with love

he went to stand behind rifles

and kill other Federicos.
