For men not brought up
in a sphere of near unbroken
toxic masculinity, it still has been
a long project to grow enough
as human beings to understand
the inner lives of women. Privilege
makes learning slow, especially
about other human beings. And
these modern boys and young
men drowned in toxic masculinity,
you can nearly write them
off, remove from the ranks
of humanity, so little hope
remains for them to become
more than beasts.
