SOME STRANGE MELANCHOLY

Clear, warm evening. Birds

singing. Two, three

voices mingling.

 

Some emptiness vaster

than the landscape

has taken hold of me,

and all of this has no effect

beyond some strange melancholy

that quiets my words.
