DAY AND NIGHT

Each day, born

from cold stars and dew, 

shimmering in the dawn,

will, after the merging

of the long shadows,

be the grave of its

own existence

under the evening star.

The dusk,

giving birth to night,

opens the Milky Way's

deep, dusty road

across the long,

quiet hours,

sleep like

the birthing waters.
