This is the struggle before the violation, the God
denied for a brief moment; muscled, determined,
she pushes him away, denies her flesh He yearns.
But briefly, for this moment made eternal, she
will keep Zeus in check. Then, her grip will fail,
He will push forward, taking her firm body
under his wings. She will become carrier
of His divine seed. But here, her powerful
hand stops the God and the myth is dammed,
by her's joining the hand of the artist. Troy
stands firm as long as she resists Him.
