Leda and the Swan(1763) by Jean Baptiste Marie Pierre(1714-1789)
and Nicolas Delaunay(1739-1792)
Two beautiful creatures, neck against a thigh;
is this before he mounted her, or after?
We think before; shy, innocent anticipation
tinged with awakening lust in her gaze
tells this is tenderness before he found
his way between her thighs and took her
with the beating of the great wings
that blew away her innocence.
