DISPELLING GLOOM

Back at home, I sit before

the computer, the old cat

curls on my lap as I pick up

Du Fu, open randomly &

read his Dispelling Gloom,

and after I finish, the birds

sing, loudly, as the Sun

plays hide and seek with

the white clouds.
