Small Yousef, aged perhaps around
five, held on his father's lap,
his head bandaged heavily
in vain, for his body is limp
and he is dead
because Israel killed him,
and no amount of parent's love
can bring him back
and restore to him
the stolen seventy, eighty
years which Israel took,
that thief that has taken
a million years
from the children of Gaza.
