STUCK INSIDE ON A FINE SUMMER EVENING

I'm reading Du Fu,

through Burton Watson,

sipping coffee, writing this

while I should be outdoors,

sitting in the sun with

Du Fu, walking the roads

and paths, sun-drenched

and shadowed, my feet on

gravel and grass.
