I could open the window,
and you could lean out
into the cool evening air,
smelling the fragrance
of the earth after rain,
breathing deep the scent
of petrichor; and I, ever
eager, could lift up your
skirt and bring down
your knickers, and
with a light touch
and nimble fingers
make you ready
for what would follow.
