GREAT LOVE AND ITS SMALL VICTIMS

It might have been great love,
but a great love
involving human sacrifices;
children given to Tlaloc,
adults with their hearts
ripped out for all to see.
What are such sacrifices
to later generations free of them?
Nothing.
Love - that justification
for all evil and suffering,
has suffocated its victims.
