WORDS WRITTEN IN VAIN

No matter how many words you dedicate

to the departed, they are all in vain;

with ink on paper anchoring

what is buried in ground and memory,

lost more each moment,

as we and the ink on the paper both

crawl towards our own doom.

The anchor breaks; all is lost.
