I know people who have
given up on poetry, saying
they have no time for it,
they need to live, to do
all the normal things
normal people do,
those things which
consume their entire
lives, and then they sit
down before the television
each evening for an hour
or two, go through their
social media for an another,
the people who have no
time for poetry, who have
real lives to lead, until
one day they don't,
until one day
it's over.
