Yesterday Israel murdered al-Jazeera journalist
Ismail al-Ghoul and cameraman Rami al-Rifi
in an attack on their car in occupied Palestine's
devastated Gaza Strip, beheaded Ismail, head left
inside a journalist's blue helmet beside the wreck
of their car (or perhaps it's Rami's head, we see
Ismail's headless neck turned into a bloody mess,
but we can't see if Rami's body still has its head),
and as 'collateral damage' to this attack against
journalism, Israel also murdered a teenage boy,
Khaled al-Shawa, who was cycling past their car
when the missile hit, leaving the child laying
on his side in his own blood, beside his bike.
And today 'Western' journalists will mostly
ignore this, or perhaps mention it quickly
and eagerly repeating whatever lie
Israel tells about the murders.
