If she would be here, I would throw
all these books away from my table,
and taking off her covers, as tenderly
as from any book, lay her on it, and
read her, from the eyebrows down
to the tip of her toes, through
all the wonders that lie between,
the first page of flesh and the last
read with unflagging enthusiasm
using eyes, fingers, lips and more.
